Our Team

James Chow, Chairman

 James has had extensive financial and operating experience in both the United States and Asia—including management and investment experience with the largest US copper mining company, the world’s largest aircraft engine manufacturer, and the investment banking and brokerage industry in Taiwan. James took over Concord Venture Capital in 1993 and transformed it into one of the undisputed leaders in the Asian venture capital industry. James has been with Concord for 18 years to date. He also serves as chairman of Silicon Motion, Inc. and Keyware Electronics Co., Ltd.

He holds an M.B.A. from Columbia Business School and received his B.S. from National Taiwan University. He is also a New York State Certified Public Accountant.


Rebecca Lee, Senior Vice President

 Rebecca, equipped with academic and professional background in banking and accounting, is responsible for the company's financial, accounting and administrative management, as well as internal control. She not only participates in the investment process and management of venture capital companies, she also provides operational suggestions for investment projects from a financial point of view. Rebecca has been with Concord for 11 years to date and currently serves as a director of Dynapack Corp.,

She holds an M.S. from the University of Houston and is also a Texas State Certified Public Accountant.


Jonathan Chow, Vice President

Jonathan has over 6 years of experience in the Taiwan biotech sector. Since 2014, Jonathan has served as the Business Development Director at Savior Lifetec. Jonathan had previously covered the Taiwan biotech and consumer sector as a research analyst at Citigroup for over 3 years. Jonathan also has prior experience as an auditor at Mazars LLP.

 
Jonathan holds his MBA in Finance from National Taiwan University and BS in Accounting from New York University. 

Arthur Cheng, Vice President

 Arthur has been working in the venture capital industry since 2008. Prior to Concord, he worked for the Direct Investment Department in GAINS Investment Corporation (China Steel Corporation’s subsidiary), Corporate Banking Department in Taipei Fubon Bank, and Creditor Rights Management Department in Cathay United Bank. He now focuses on investments in the clean-tech and bio-tech sectors.

Arthur holds his M.Sc. in Investments from University of Birmingham, UK and B.S. in International Business (minor in Law) from National Taiwan University.


Henry Chen , Vice President

Prior to joining Concord, Henry worked as an Investment Manager in Integral Assets Management Company. Prior to Integral, Henry has been working in Citibank Taiwan as Relationship Manager for 5 years, managing and originating business between Citi and major financial institutions in Taiwan.
Henry holds his M.A. in Statistics from Columbia University and B.A. in International Business from National Taiwan University. 
 

 


Wallace C. Kou, Senior Consultant

 Mr. Kou has served the President and Chief Executive Officer of SMI Taiwan since August 2002. Mr. Kou founded SMI USA in 1996. Prior to founding SMI USA, Mr. Kou was the Vice President and Chief Architect at the Multimedia Products Division of Western Digital Corporation, a company that designs, develops, manufacturers, and markets hard drives used in desktop computers, servers, digital video devices, and satellite and cable set-top boxes.

He hold a BS in Electrical & Control Engineering from the National Chiao Tung University in Taiwan and an MS in Electrical & Computer Engineering from the University of California at Santa Barbara.


Cain Lin, Senior Consultant

 Prior to joining Concord, Cain has had over ten years of hands-on-experience in IC manufacturing, system design and marketing activities; and the technical and marketing aspects in the semiconductors, communication and computers industry. Since joining Concord in 1995, Cain has been responsible for identifying , negotiating, and executing more than 100 high-tech investment projects. He holds an M.B.A. from Santa Clara University and received his M.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Florida.
